The impact of Carnaval on the mobility towards cities.

During the carnaval a lot of people travel to the southern carnaval cities in the Netherlands. But where do they come from? Are they mainly inhabitants of Brabant itself, that celebrate carnaval or are there also people from other regions? Dat.mobility, partner of Mezuro, answered these questions, based on the Mezuro mobility information.

Which cities attract the most visitors from ‘north of the rivers’?

It turned out that Kielegat (Breda), Oeteldonk (‘s Hertogenbosch), Krabbegat (Bergen op Zoom) and obviously Boeskoolstad (Oldenzaal) attracts most of the visitors from the northern regions. Breda obviously has just complaints about the invasion of northern people in their city during carnaval.
